Continuous Expansion of International Qualifications | CQM Has Obtained SFC's International Qualification, Helping Enterprises Open Up the International Channel" for Freight Carbon Management

75

On October 20, 2025, at a crucial juncture when the global "carbon neutrality" strategy was accelerating its implementation, CQM officially received approval from Smart Freight Centre (SFC), becoming a Validation and Verification Body (VVB) in China that complies with the SFC Conformity Assessment Scheme. This marks an international breakthrough for CQM in the field of greenhouse gas accounting in the transport chain, and also provides a more credible way for domestic enterprises sustainability reporting based on ISO 14083 and Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) Framework.

Where is the "value" of this international qualification?

The SFC was established in 2013 and its headquarters is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. SFC is an international non-profit organization dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the logistics and freight sector and promoting industry sustainability.

Smart Freight Centre’s Conformity Assessment Scheme (CAS) offers emission reporters independent assurance of GHG emissions and reporting. The scheme promotes a database of VVBs that reporters can trust to carry out a competent, impartial verification service and helps reporters find a VVB that can check if you are complying with ISO 14083 and/or SFC´s Market Based Measures (MBM) Specification.

SFC developed the GLEC Framework, which was the foundation for the new ISO 14083:2023 standard. ISO 14083 further standardized calculation and reporting of GHG emissions from multimodal transport chains, such as roads, railways, aviation, shipping, and logistics hubs. The GLEC framework has been adopted by many large shippers and logistics companies worldwide and is widely used in carbon disclosure, green procurement, and supply chain management.

For Enterprises: What Can CQM Provide You?

As an SFC-approved VVB, we will provide four core services around carbon management in freight logistics

ü Provide transportation carbon emission verification for export enterprises to meet international regulations such as IMO

ü Conduct verification of logistics emission accounting and reporting against ISO14083 and gap analysis based on ISO14083 and GLEC V3.1.

ü Support enterprises in formulating green supply chain procurement strategies and confirming data transparency and data   information quality

ü Provide consultation and training on the ISO 14083 and GLEC framework to assist enterprises in integrating into the international green logistics network

Key Benefits: Why Should Enterprises Focus on the Service?

² Break through international barriers: The verified results comply with ISO14083, helping enterprises better prepare for     the green procurement requirements of multinational clients.

² Reduce management costs: Through professional carbon verification, accurately identify high- emission links, reduce blind carbon reduction investments; at the same time, unify carbon accounting standards, reduce the   cost of multi-system management.

² Enhance competitive advantage: Under the "dual carbon" policy, having internationally recognized carbon verification reports can enhance the green competitiveness of enterprises in bidding and customer cooperation.

For the Future: Collaborate with Industry Partners to Establish a "Local Carbon Management Ecosystem"

CQM will also collaborate with partners such as ports, airports, and logistics centers to achieve three goals:

Ø Cultivate local carbon auditing talents who are familiar with international standards, addressing the pain point of enterpri ses having no one who understands carbon;

Ø Research the local application of the GLEC Framework and ISO 14083, and build a transportation carbon database suitable for domestic enterprises;

Ø Create an integrated national freight carbon management service system for monitoring - verification - certification, making carbon management for enterprises more efficient.

In the future, CQM will fully utilize the "StandardCertification +" theory and the "SBIDIG 3P" Solution , adhering to the brand spirit of "Professionalism, Reliability, Innovation, and Internationalization". Based on international authoritative standards such as ISO 14064 series and ISO 14083, providing enterprises with greenhouse gas verification services covering the entire life cycle transportation chain, helping enterprises achieve the "dual carbon" goals and sustainable development.
